A developer bought the Roman Fort site around the disused bus garage at Old Kilpatrick. The lower part of the site is a scheduled ancient monument so must have an archaeological survey before building takes place. Clydebelt attended meetings on providing some kind of Roman History attraction at the site, perhaps a planning permission condition?
In mid 2002 West Dunbartonshire Council seems to be seriously floating the idea of making the fort a tourist attraction, perhaps along with Old Kilpatrick's connections with St Patrick.
